WEEK TWO

We got to enter to the virtual classroom at the university web page so we can edit our profiles and upload a picture. I had troubles uploading the picture and I do it at home, I realized that the format of the picture was incorrect. Continuing with the class come the explanations about the module and we got to see the module and how are we going to work the whole semester. As a third point, the teacher explain us about the team work activity that we had to do, it was about evaluating a web page, the link offered by the teacher gave us good explanations about how to know if a site is a reliable fount of information or not, basing on the URL. As future teachers it also benefit ourselves, with the fact that eventually we are going to create a culture that will be responsible of the content that will be looking for on the internet , this is very useful information because we can share with our students how to make a good research.

WEEK ONE

First day of a new subject, Internet and Multimedia Resources, with Dra. Willma Suarez. Most part of the class was explanations about what things are we going to cover for the semester, especially to analyze web pages. The teacher gave a review of the virtual classroom from the university web page, she explain us how we are going to us it. Also, we cover some rules for the laboratory, such as been punctual, participate, cell phones are not allowed and so on. The teacher gave some examples about the assignments that we supposed to cover this partial.
For the second class we got to open our accounts to see our first assignment. The first assignment is going to be done in pairs and consist in answering question about evaluating web pages. For doing this activity we had to read how to evaluate a web page from a link that the teacher included in the assignment. I believe that this activity is going to be very useful when we have to do researches because not all the web pages at the internet are reliable. We get the opportunity to discover what some strategies are for find a good web page, such as looking for background of the people or institution that create the web page. Furthermore, it’s going to be helpful in our professional lives due to the important of technology.
